January 2026 DSR – monthly overview of upcoming Clover enhancements and hardware updates (dates are subject to change).


Details (Key Updates)

Restaurant Vertical

  • Cross Channel Menu Duplication: Ability to clone a POS menu into an online ordering menu (or vice versa).

  • Change Menu Details: Day-part details displayed on the device “Change Menu” page for easier visibility (no dashboard login needed).

  • Low Item Stock Alerts: Merchants can set item thresholds and receive notifications when stock drops below the threshold.

Services Vertical

  • Expand Estimates: Estimates enabled on Essentials, Retail, and Restaurant plans (a toll-free number is required to send Estimates via SMS).

Employee & Customer Management

  • Re-Launch Clover Rewards: Rewards embedded into the SaaS plan (Essentials and above), updated setup/edit journey, navigation updates, and basic dashboard analytics (excludes legacy plans and “Plus” $99/month).

  • Post-Pay Enhancements: Shorter post-pay duration, merchant skip option, “Change Due” display, with projected GA in January.

Clover eCommerce Websites

  • Category & Display Navigation: Horizontal category navigation for easier browsing (Service Growth + Restaurant Growth) with projected GA March.

  • Storefront Checkout & Login Enhancements: Visual polish including welcome message + collapsible order summary; projected GA January.

  • Seamless In-Cart Item Editing: Customers can edit items in cart (modifiers/qty/requests) before checkout to reduce voids and staff intervention; projected GA January.

Merchant Core Experience

  • Plan Recommendation Flow Updates: Adds Melio, timesheets, and payroll into the web onboarding plan recommendation flow; projected January.

Hardware

  • Hardware De-Commercialization: Includes device lifecycle flow and projected End of Support dates.

  • Key End of Support dates to note:

    • Flex WiFi (Gen 2): 04/05/2026

    • Station Duo 1 WiFi: 06/15/2026
